Shaggy’s Story

Shaggy

Shaggy…that’s the name he was given to him by a wonderful man, Allen, who cared for him from afar, but was disabled and could not adopt him. It’s a sad story with a very happy ending! Shaggy is now thriving and living a great life. He even has his own apartment, for real; because we didn’t give up on him or his friends, Isra and Henry.

To our best estimates Shaggy lived on the streets from the time he was about six months old for nearly four years until we rescued him, along with two other big dogs, Isra and Henry, all of them living in the same area during COVID, existing at a dumping ground for dogs, nearby a water treatment plant in South-East Dallas county.

Allen feed them with what little money he had for dog food until we successfully got them off the street. Thank goodness for the good men out there in the world, here’s to Allen and his tender, giving heart! - Bernadette
